Roland graduated from McMaster University with a degree in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in the design of equipment for the polymer industry. Over his career he has designed and built multiple presses, shuttle systems, paint rooms, white rooms and other equipment, including the electro-mechanical aspects of the machines. In his previous positions of plant engineering and maintenance manager in the injection moulding, blow moulding and food packaging industries, Roland has acquired an extensive knowledge of chemicals, electrical equipment and requirements, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, and automation. Moreover, Roland is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator and Instructor. He has also developed some unique industrial computer programs in his spare time. His specializations include:
